The Whirlpool WPW10186032 Timer controls the duration and sequence of drying cycles for reliable dryer operation. This replacement timer works with the dryer’s electrical control system to manage when heating, tumbling, and cooling functions operate during the selected cycle. As the timer advances through its settings, it switches electrical circuits on or off at designated intervals, helping the dryer complete the programmed cycle properly. A worn or faulty timer may cause the cycle to stop early, run excessively long, fail to advance, or operate incorrectly. Replacing a damaged timer can restore proper cycle timing and function. Designed for compatible dryer models, this practical component supports accurate cycle control and consistent everyday drying performance.
