The Whirlpool WPW10199696 Detergent Dispenser releases dishwasher detergent at the appropriate stage of the wash cycle for effective cleaning. Installed inside the dishwasher door, the dispenser stores detergent securely and opens during the designated wash phase, allowing the detergent to mix with water and circulate through the tub. Proper detergent dispensing supports consistent cleaning and reduces the risk of detergent being released too early or remaining unused. This replacement dispenser is suitable for compatible Whirlpool dishwasher models when the original component is damaged, cracked, or no longer dispensing correctly.
