The Whirlpool WPW10240513 Striker for Washer provides a secure contact point for the washer door or lid locking mechanism. This replacement striker mounts to the door or lid and engages with the corresponding latch, allowing the washer to close and remain securely positioned during operation. Its proper engagement supports the locking system and helps prevent the washer from operating when the door or lid is not correctly closed. A worn, cracked, or damaged striker may cause difficulty closing the washer or prevent the latch from engaging properly. Replacing the striker can restore a secure fit and reliable operation. Designed for compatible Whirlpool washers, this part offers a practical solution for maintaining proper door or lid closure without replacing the entire appliance.
