The Whirlpool WPW10308477 Bake Element produces the heat needed for baking, roasting, and cooking food in an electric range oven. Installed at the bottom of the oven cavity, this heating element converts electrical energy into heat and distributes it throughout the cooking area to support consistent oven temperatures. It works with the range’s temperature controls to maintain the heat required for everyday cooking tasks. A damaged or burned-out element may cause uneven baking, insufficient heating, or an oven that fails to reach the selected temperature.
