The Whirlpool WPW10467289 Washer Water Temperature Sensor monitors water temperature to support accurate wash cycle control. This replacement sensor detects changes in incoming and tub water temperature and sends temperature readings to the washer’s electronic control system. The control can use these readings to adjust cycle functions according to the selected temperature setting. A faulty sensor may cause incorrect temperature readings, unexpected cycle behavior, or inconsistent water temperature control. Replacing a worn or damaged sensor can restore accurate temperature detection and proper cycle regulation.
