The Whirlpool WPW10511937 temperature control thermostat helps regulate the refrigerator’s cooling system to maintain the selected temperature. Installed within the appliance’s temperature control circuit, this thermostat responds to changes in the refrigerator’s internal temperature and helps cycle the cooling system on or off as needed. Proper thermostat operation supports consistent cooling and helps prevent the refrigerator from becoming excessively warm or cold. Replacing a faulty, damaged, or inaccurate thermostat can help address temperature fluctuations, improper cooling, or related operating issues.
