The Whirlpool WPW10524921 Rinse-Aid Dispenser Cap closes the rinse-aid reservoir in compatible dishwashers. It fits over the dispenser opening to keep rinse aid contained between refills and during regular dishwasher use. The cap provides a removable closure, allowing users to refill the compartment when needed. During a wash cycle, the dishwasher’s dispenser releases rinse aid according to its design, while the cap keeps the reservoir covered. A cracked, loose, or missing cap may allow leakage or leave the compartment exposed. Replacing a damaged cap restores the closure and supports routine maintenance of the dishwasher’s rinse-aid dispensing system.
