The Whirlpool WPW10531320 Drain Pump removes wastewater from the dishwasher and supports proper draining after wash and rinse cycles. This replacement pump uses an electric motor and impeller to move water from the dishwasher sump through the drain hose and into the household drain system. Proper pumping allows used water to exit efficiently, reducing standing water inside the tub and supporting clean, effective wash cycles. A worn or damaged drain pump may cause slow draining, standing water, unusual noise, or incomplete cycle performance.
