The Whirlpool WP3952499 Timer controls the sequence and duration of wash cycles to support proper washing machine operation. This replacement component works with the washer’s control system to advance through the selected stages, coordinating functions such as washing, rinsing, and spinning according to the machine’s design. It helps ensure that each cycle progresses as intended, allowing laundry to be cleaned through the appropriate sequence of operations. A faulty timer may cause the washer to stop unexpectedly, remain stuck in one stage, or fail to complete a selected cycle.
